This new Black Soul Strangers single 'The Haunting' gives the audience just under 4 minutes of chilling and bone-tingling poetry that creates imagery of depression, loneliness and solitude.
Barry Gorey (front man) guides us through this soul searching piece with his sombre lyrics, with the ambient guitar tones leaving an imprint on listener's minds.
About the song, Gorey says;
/ 'It was during this time that my father suddenly passed away. This was when the idea of slowly crafting songs went out the window, and everything just poured out of me’/
Overall, this is a great second single release from the Irish 4 piece. Let's hope their debut album, slated for a release later this year, will live up to expectations.
